“Kaiji 2” Film welcomes Actor “Iseya Yusuke” To The Cast

It’s been confirmed that “Iseya Yusuke” will join the cast of “Kaiji 2” as “Ichijou Masaya”. The film based off the manga of the same name by creator “Nobuyuki Fukumoto” is centered around the world of extreme gambling. “Kaiji” is a story about a man named “Itou Kaiji” struggling to find work. After two years of gambling, drinking, and cigarettes “Kaiji” is threatened onto the gambling ship “Espoir”, in order to clear his debt by a man named “Endou”. After surviving the “Espoir” “Kaiji” begins a life of extreme gambling.

The sequel takes place less than a year after “Kaiji” has paid off his debts.

Mangaka “Nobuyuki Fukumoto’s” manga Tobaku Mokushiroku Kaiji (賭博黙示録カイジ, lit. Gambling Apocalypse Kaiji) (also known as "Ultimate Survivor Kaiji") debuted in “Kodansha’s” “Young Magazine” in 1996. The first 13 volumes inspired a 26 episode anime series by “Madehouse” titled “Kaiji” which aired 2007 to 2008 with a second series announced and premiered on April 5th 2011 titled, “Gyakkyō Burai Kaiji: Hakairoku-hen” and is currently airing on “NTV” in Japan.

The film is slated to hit theaters November 5th 2011
