Moe Character To Promote Election

'Nozomi Fukushima' is a new promotional character that is going to be used for the next House of Representatives election this month.

The word 'nozomi' means 'hope'. Fukushima has already printed over 11,000 promotional posters and they will be put up at various places in the Tohoku region on December 4.

Before Nozomi was her 'older sister' Mirai Fukushima. Two years ago, Mirai was used to persuade youngsters to vote for their prefectural governor in Fukushima Prefecture. Mirai, which means future, has been featured on the posters for the major elections for two years.
