Studio Ghibli's The Secret World of Arrietty will open in over 1,200 US Screens making it the biggest Studio Ghibli film US release so far! This big release will be aimed at the fans of previous Ghibli films; Ponyo and Spirited Away.
Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy, co-executive producers of the US dubbed version, told The Wall Street Journal, a financial newspaper, that the release has been expanded so that fans of Mary Norton's 1952 book, The Borrowers, from which the film has been based, could be included.
There has also been a British English dub, in the United Kingdom, that has already been played in theatres there in August 2011 - but how will that compare to the US 2012 release?
The US theatrical release is set for February 17.
