As reported earlier, Toei Animation Studio has revealed that the acclaimed director Keiichi Satou, who has produced such works as "Tiger & Bunny" and the dark mecha anime "The Big O" is also going to direct the highly anticipated anime film "Saint Seiya: The Movie. Satou's colleague and scriptwriter for the Tiger & Bunny series, Tomohiro Suzuki, is also going to be writing the screenplay.
Toei Animation had already confirmed on February the previous year that the production on the computer animated film had been green lit and was in full swing, with its release date predicted to be sometime around 2013. Fans of Saint Seiya as well as the Big O and Tiger & Bunny are very excited on the project, and are looking forward to seeing what Toei will deliver to the Saint Seiya franchise.
This project is separate from the new Saint Seiya Omega anime series which will premiere April 2012.
